Cala Mariolu e Cala Gonone

Approaching Cala Gonone, these mountains are right on the coast and they block the view of the water, all of the sudden you go through a tunnel and the sea is right in front of you, it is stunning!!!!

It's about 11 o'clock, we just found out that it is too late to rent a boat of our own, and are scrambling to get into the first tour boat available....well some are scrambling, others, exausted from a three hour+ trip are resting and guarding the bags!

As the boat goes down the coast we see all the little beaches, "cale" one more beautiful than the other.

Lucky people who rented their own boat and are going where they please with all their bags in it, no lugging around lunch bags and umbrellas for them!!!!
I thought this rock formation was very interesting.
Tony and Maria Teresa in the boat...
...Edwin, I, Tony, and Maria Teresa on the boat...
Cala Mariolu, the sand will be sand... in a few million years, right now it is a myriad of tiny white perfectly shaped stones, beautiful to see , but not to walk on!! The best place to be is in the water, and Michelle and Julia take full advantage!
Guess who did not spend the whole summer in Sardinia, but had just arrived.....
The water, no filters no polarized lenses....
This is a photographer favorite site, thousands of postcard depict it from every angle.
Another look from the boat...
In town, Patrizia and Evan meet two old masked Sardinians.
Near the shore the fish gather, I think the turists feed them!!

More Cala Mariolu, large grottos pepper the whole coast, some climbers were going up some of these rocks
Julia, Michelle, and Marisa having fun in the sun.
